Richard studied accountancy and finance at Kingston University and began his career in a chartered accountancy practice before moving into financial recruitment. With over 30 years’ experience, he has led senior-level recruitment across commerce and industry, sales and marketing, IT, HR, and finance.
He has covered the African market since 2007, bringing specialist experience across fintech, agriculture, infrastructure, telecoms, FMCG, renewable energy, business and professional services, NFP, and oil & gas sectors.
During his career focused on Africa, he has been personally involved and led a significant number of executive-level searches across the continent completing numerous searches for CEOs and other CXO roles.
He also specialises in the identification of senior leaders for private equity firms and African-focused fund investors, providing support for their portfolio companies in securing appointments up to chair, NED, and advisory roles.
